Archer Place was built in 2008 by Barbaro Construction. The masonry structure features two floors of heated garages, a lobby, and 7 residential floors. Vertical transportation is via two state of the art Schindler A400 high speed traction elevators. The association seeks to be known as a quiet smoke free building.
A few milestones include:
- In 2009, security cameras were installed throughout the building.
Enlan Management began serving.
- In 2010, Modine gas heaters were installed in the garages.
- In 2013, with the assistance of Alderman Solis’ office, the City of Chicago built a brand new $750,000 street including new sewers and lights.
- In 2014, the land near the railroad tracks was shaped and a ledge was installed to help the water flow away from the road. Additionally, a concrete pad was poured for the garbage container.
- In 2015, a membrane coating was installed on the Upper Level (UL) garage – to prevent dripping to the lower level.
- In 2015 and 2016 -- new overhead garage doors were installed.
